Flattie return
WE have begun getting our flatties returned... WE had Mikkel return from California yesterday and several others are on their way home with thier goodies... WE are really excited.. WE will be going to Wamego on Monday to see the wizard of Oz and then we will send the flaties we have home. This has been a wonderful time we have shared with our flaties this time.. Cant wait for the next round. As we will send some more out on Monday...

Travels
We are excited about the new year... We have decided to start traveling once again through the eyes of others. We are doing a flattie exchange and have several flatties out there and are having several come to us. The kids are really excited about these travels. Jonathans flatie is already in Vermont and I will post pictures of vermont here soon....
This is based on the story called "Flat Stanley". It is about a family that was very poor and their son Stanley was invited to go to California to visit family. But unfortunitly was unable to go because they were unable to afford for him to go. Well while he was sleeping a bullitian board fell on him and made him flat. He was so flat he could slip under doors. So now his family decides to put him in an envelope and ship him to California to vist family. He is able to travel the states and the world because he is so small now.
Based on this story the Flat Stanley Project has developed. So we use it as a Geography lesson. We travel the world by a picture of something and people take pictures and send us souvineers and pictures and also information about thier land.... We also do the same for them.. Kids love it as they learn so much and they are able to tell about their life also....
